Antique Writing Slope veneered in lovely figured rosewood, inlaid and engraved with intricate brass & Mother of Pearl and Abalone Inlays, all surrounded by brass edges.

The interior of this antique writing slope has two original brass screw top inkwells, pentray, sloping cover, stationery dividers to the front. The writing surface has a black leather with gold tooling with a Mother of Pearl escutcheon, under the smaller part of the writing surface allows you to open the secret drawers compartment. Remove the rosewood pentray, the divider next to the sloping cover place your fingers and squeeze the bottom of the divider, this will then relase the secret drawer cover revealing three small secret drawers.

The otherside of the writing slope has more storage for letters or documents.

This antique Writing box comes with two fully working locks and tasselled keys.
