Calamander or Coromandel is a valuable wood found in India, Sri Lanka and South East Asia. It has a contrasting hazel-brown colour with black grain. It is a dense, heavy wood that is so popular it has been logged to extinction over the last few hundred years.

All our items come with authentication certificate with image, as well as our latest catalogue, how to look after your antique booklet, care instructions and separate invoice for insurance purposes. On top of this our items come with 14 day no quibble money back guarantee and are all fully insured for when shipping.

Some boxes we acquire have no interiors or are missing all or most of their original fittings. They are too beautiful to do nothing with, so we bring them back to life by hand-making and fitting a jewellery tray or simply lining them. Not only does this give the box a new lease of life but gives you a box that is totally unique and not on the high street! In our opinion these are fantastic value for money – if one of these boxes were to be made today it would cost a small fortune!

Our Jewellery Boxes are refurbished to a very high standard. Our in-house finisher uses top quality cotton silks, leather and hand-marbled paper. By doing this our quality finishes will stand the test of time, so that these beautiful boxes can be passed on to future generations.

We have been specialising in bespoke interiors for over twenty years, supplying trade, decorators and retailers. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with your requirements (we do require a deposit before commencing work on bespoke commissions).
