Fabulous two-compartment George III Tea Caddy with wonderful colour and untouched patination. Veneered in exotic Satinwood this wonderful Georgian tea caddy has exquisite large Conch shells inlaid in the top & front with an oval bone escutcheon. The top is also embellished with quarter fan inlays in all four corners and framed with tulipwood crossbanding and boxwood edging. The two sides have further embellishments with wonderful inlaid Grecian urns containing the precious and prized tea plants.

The interior of this George III Satinwood Tea Caddy has two compartments one larger than the other and contains two slightly different solid mahogany floating lids with turned bone handles. The larger lid has a canted top, with the smaller lid having chamfered sides, both lids are contemporary to the tea caddy.

This super tea caddy has wonderful untouched patination and still has traces of its original foil lining and comes with a fully working lock & tasselled key.
