Description

Description

The Hawker Fury was a biplane used by the British airforce. It was the first fighter plane in the RAF that was capable of exceeding a 200 miles per hour flight speed. After 18 years of service it was eventually replaced by the Supermarine Spitfire.

This charming silver plate model has a free spinning propeller, detailed cabane struts and coloured stones mounted on the wing tips.

It stands on a striking Makassar ebony base giving the piece as a whole a wonderful contrast.
