A secret jewellery drawer and love letter compartment is inside this beautiful Antique Coromandel Jewellery Box.

This box has quadrant brass edging, sturdy flush-fitting carry handles, a vacant initial plate on the top, and an escutcheon on the front.

Lifting the lid of this antique jewellery box reveals a navy blue velvet and a black leather-lined interior. Inside is a removable jewellery tray with eight compartments. One of the compartments is lined with a space which can include rings, earrings or cufflinks. The central compartment has nautical-themed embroidery where your jewellery can sit.

This jewellery tray can be removed with the aid of the two silvered handles. Underneath this, is another padded removable tray, which when removed, shows more storage space, as well as a secret compartment, hiding a long leather jewellery drawer, perfect for holding watches or necklaces. Above these two trays, and at the back of the box, are storage spaces that are perfect for today’s perfume bottles or vanity products.

The underside of the box’s main lid has a removable reversible ruched velvet back original mirror. Behind the mirror is a tooled leather storage space, perfect for storing letters and documents.

An elegant tasselled key is included with this wonderful exotic coromandel jewellery box accompanied by its original tasselled Bramah Key which operates a fully operational lock, which is by S.Mordan & Co, London.
