From our Jewellery Box collection, we are pleased to offer this Antique Mahogany Accessories Box. The Box of slender rectangular form made from solid Mahogany with brass stapping decorating the exterior with a central shield shaped vacant initial plaque to the lid and matching escutcheon. Each side of the box features a small brass latch for keeping the lid secure when locked or unlocked. The interior of the Box is lined in steel blue cushioned silk velvet to both the base and inner lid to help protect the contents and bears the retailers plaque for Arnold & Sons, West Smithfield London (see advertisement photo, not included) The Box dates to the late Victorian period circa 1890 and is a perfect addition to any home for storing accessories or Jewellery in as seen in our decorative image.
