Description

A Louis Vuitton Monogram Jumelle Suitcase dating to the second half of the 20th century circa 1965. The suitcase is finished in the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas with natural leather trim, lozine reinforced edges and gilt brass fittings throughout. The front is fitted with the original brass lock numbered 126081, while the rear of the case is stamped 900460.

Opening the suitcase reveals a compartmentalised interior lined in washable beige Vuittonite, designed to accommodate suits, shirts and other garments for travel. The interior is fitted with its original canvas retaining straps featuring Louis Vuitton marked hardware and includes the removable hanger system complete with the original Louis Vuitton wooden hangers.

The Louis Vuitton Jumelle was designed as a practical travelling suitcase, combining the instantly recognisable Monogram canvas with a thoughtfully arranged interior for business and leisure travel. Complete with its original hangers and fitted interior, this is an excellent example of one of Louis Vuitton’s classic travel cases.
