A wonderful pair of Rene Lalique Swallow Car Mascots with a clear finish, mounted in original book end mounts each signed “R Lalique” on the front, while the other is etched “R Lalique” on the right-hand side. The swallows have moulded marks “R Lalique” and “France” on the back near the base.

These wonderful glass Rene Lalique car mascots originally adorned Prestigious Motor Cars in the 1930s such as Bentley & Rolls Royce, made as car hood ornaments that would light up in the night and glow, these were first introduced in the 1920s by famous glassmaker René Jules Lalique, who started a company using his own name, which still creates fine glassware today.
