Description

Large Rosewood Table Cabinetwith exquisite mother of pearl inlays depicting with middle eastern architecture all inlaid and decorated on papier mache panels on the front and top all framed within a Ebony border. The Antique table cabinet stands on ogee Ebony feet with the sides having turned rosewood carrying handles.

The top opens to reveal several compartments lined in red silk velvet which contain, thread spools, tool pad and needle books.

With the top open the doors on the front can be opened to reveal a set of drawers. The top two are jewellery drawers and feature further red silk lined storage compartments as does the second drawer.

The bottom drawer is a small writing slope with a red tooled velvet writing surface, has a travelling inkwell and a pen compartment. The top half of the writing slope can be opened to reveal further storage space underneath.

This combination jewellery / Sewing and writing table cabinet comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
