James Dougall has won numerous awards and has been exhibited internationally, many times at Goldsmiths Hall and at the Victoria and Albert museum. Major projects include a Hanging Pyx for Holy Trinity Church, Cookham, an altar cross for St. Michaels Church, Ightham Kent, a staff for Merton College Oxford and most recently a piece for the Officers Mess, Royal Marines, Poole.

James Dougall has also been invited to judge for the Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council, and is a full member of the UK's foremost association for designer silversmiths, Contemporary British Silversmiths alongside being a founder member of The Buckinghamshire Crafts Guild.
