Dear friends,

I’d love to start the newsletter off by welcoming everyone to the beautiful British summer sunshine however, this last week has sadly been rain, rain and well, more rain. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the next few days will turn around and we can get back to that beautiful British Sun. Last newsletter we promoted our latest competition to win a beautiful Burr Yew Wood Tea Chest. We are really happy to report that we have had glowing reviews all around and Mark has been totally overwhelmed by the messages. Remember, you have to be in it to win it so make sure you click the link and leave a review before the 1st of December. We wanted to mention that the competition is open to clients from around the world and not just the UK so click the link and leave a review to enter!

This week at the workshop we have been working hard behind the scenes and Mark has been in the fortunate position to be buying some exceptional items which we are now starting to add to our online collection. Mark has been curating objects from across the board and there really is a little something for everyone. We have added a selection of objects to our Barware collection ready for those warm summer weekends with the bubbly on chill and Cocktails in the Shaker. While you wait for your drinks we also have added some Novelty Cocktail Stick Holders perfect for catching a few olives. In other collections, we have added Tea Caddies, Jewellery Boxes and Sewing Boxes to mention a few. We are in love with the Fortnum & Mason Clock Compendium with 5 faces, a perfect accompaniment to a Gentlemans Cigar Room with a built in Hygrometer for the humidity levels.

Featured this week…

This week we have chosen to feature this rare Original Belgian Spa Sewing Box. The box features an incredible mechanism which activates upon turning the drawer handle to lift two thread spinners and allows the user to set up a fully operational workbox station while on their travels. The work box also houses the original thread cases, each individually labelled across the top and the original ribbon reel. The Sewing Box dates to the Georgian period circa 1780 and has the original external decoration and interior.
