Antique jewellery box veneered predominately in exotic Satinwood with an unusual Ebony and Satinwood symmetrical inlays framing the top and front. With a small vacant Mother of Pearl initial plate on the top.

This very pretty antique jewellery box interior is lined in a white water silk paper and luxurious teal velvet. With a removable jewellery tray having five compartments, two ring holders and ribbon tabs on either side to make removal easy. There is a single large padded compartment underneath, giving plenty of space for storing more of those precious keepsakes or love letters.

This antique jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.

To operate any old locks and it’s good practice to try the key with the box in the open position, (so with the box open). Place the key in the lock and turn anticlockwise to lock, this way you get to feel the tolerance of the lock and see how it works. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock. Once you have tried and tested the lock & key with the box in the open position you should be confident now how the box locks and unlocks.
