Early Tunbridge ware sewing box veneered in Gonzalo Alves with a worn view of Tonbridge castle on the top, framed with a diamond-shaped border, with a repeating floral pattern around the edge.
The interior is lined with a vibrant yellow paper and features a removable tray with a storage space underneath. The tray has several compartments for various sewing tools including, thread reels, pincushion, needlebook, tape measure, thimble and a removable tool pad fitted with tweezers, scissors, pricker and needle case.
