From our Barware collection, we are delighted to offer this Art Deco Silver & Glass Cocktail Shaker. The Cocktail Shaker of long oval form with a tapered hand-cut prism style clear glass body of good weight. The top of the cocktail shaker is fitted with a continental Silver lid with a built in strainer and removable cap, the interior of the Silver has been gilded (gold plated). The Silver is hallmarked with a Minerva head (Minerve casquée) and a rubbed maker’s mark. The Cocktail shaker dates to the first half of the 20th century during the Art Deco era circa 1930.

Art Deco was a style of visual arts, architecture, and product design that first appeared in France in the 1910s. It flourished in the United States and Europe during the 1920s to early 1930s. It was hugely prevalent through styling and design of the exterior and interior of anything from large structures to small objects and even influenced fashion and jewellery.
