Stunning Regency red leather sewing box with ornate crisp gilt brass mounts, loop handles and lion’s feet. With a vacant brass initial plate on the top and an ornate escutcheon. The leather has fine pressing with gold tooling around the base.

The interior of this magnificent regency leather sewing box is as the outside all totally original and has ornate gold tooling with a bright blue paper lining on the compartments which is accented by bright pink silk which continues onto the underside of the lid as a backing for an unusual letter compartment housed in the lid of the sewing box.

This sewing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
