Rene Lalique Archer Car Mascot. Model number #1126 with moulded relief “R.Lalique”. These wonderful Car Mascots were made to sit on car radiator mounts as luxury ornaments in the 1920’s by famous glass maker René Jules Lalique, they were lit underneath by a bulb which would shine through the glass giving them a warm glow at night, the faster the car went the brighter the glow. Rene Lalique who started company using his own name still creates fine glassware today.
