Antique sterling silver and tortoiseshell mantle clock by William Comyns.

This charming sterling silver mantle clock has panels of tortoiseshell with fine engraved silver pique framing the white roman numeral clock face. The silver hallmarked with for the famous London silversmith William Comyns.

The mechanism access door on the rear of the clock has a small ribbed handle which needs to be turned to allow the door to be opened. Inside is the clock mechanism and small hallmarks on the inside of the door.

There is also more hallmarks on the underside of the clock.
