Description

Interesting Campaign Writing Box made with solid mahogany, brass bound on the top sides and front, with flush fitting carrying handles which fit neatly into both sides of the writing box . There are two brass escutcheons, on the top and front of the Writing Box and a unusual brass decoration to the top. It has a secret compartment underneath the pen tray, to gain access to it you need remove the pen tray and by pulling on the divider reveals a small drawer.

The interior has a red gold tooled leather writing surface, two inkwells, a section for holding pens and pencils. The writing surface folds back to reveal two storage areas and on the back of one of them is a mirror. The box also has a secret compartment underneath the pen tray, to gain access to it you need remove the pen tray and by pulling on the divider reveals a small drawer.

This writing box comes with a fully working lock & tasselled key.
