Description

Silver DressingBox veneered in striking Coromandelwith brass escutcheon, jewellery drawer and fine engraved sterling silver by William Neal.

The lid is lined with blue ruched velvet which backs a removable free standing mirror, behind which is an envelope for storing letters.

The interior contains ten beautiful glass & silver engraved bottles and oblong toiletry containers all with star cut bases and sterling silver lids by London Silversmiths William Neal, all are beautifully engraved. The glass bottles and toiletry containers are all in good condition with no breaks or cracks. A lift out tray is in the center on which there is a set of accoutrements with Mother of Pearl handles, they include: A single pair of Scissors, Corkscrew, tweezers, sewing hook, and file. The main part of the interior of the box lifts out to reveal further storage space beneath to store such items as brushes or combs.

On the front edge next to the lock mechanism is a removable pin which allows the drawer to the front of the box to be opened. The drawer contains a large storage compartment and a padded section for storing rings, earrings and cufflinks.

This Vanity box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
