The whole of this superb Anglo indian box is edged with a engraved Ivory and Lac filled scrolling penwork decoration, which with the combination of the sandal wood really makes this wonderful Vizagapatam sewing box stand out from the crowd. And as always this sewing box stands very elegantly on four ribbed Ivory feet.

On opening this splendid Antique Anglo Indian sewing box it reveals a removable sandal wood tray, with several lids and compartments, again all of which have the engraved Lac filled Ivory and turned handles.
