Description

Large Coromandel Jewellery Boxwith brass flush fitting campaign style carrying handles, escutcheon, stringing and quadrants to protect the edges.

The underside of the lid houses a removable leather backed mirror, behind which is a secret letter compartment.

The interior features purple velvet and gold tooled black leather paper lined tray, has various compartments including three secure compartments for rings, earrings and cufflinks. This can be lifted out to reveal further storage underneath.
On the back edge of the interior is a brass plaque which when pressed opens a drawer at the front of the box. The drawer has three velvet padded compartments for storing those precious items.

This antique jewellery box comes with a fully working “Bramah” locks and tasselled key.
