Antique Jewellery Boxveneered in beautiful figured Rosewood with double strung brass, thick edging, brass escutcheon and monogramed initial plate.

The antique jewellery box interior is lined in navy velvet and contains a removable jewellery tray with seven padded compartments of which two are for rings, earrings or cuff links. Underneath this tray is two large storage spaces perfect for those precious items.

This fabulous jewellery box comes complete with fully working lock and tasselled key.

Boxes that were originally fitted as Jewellery Boxes are rare. We do come across them from time to time, but most were combination boxes i.e. Vanity Boxes or Sewing Boxes with a built-in jewellery compartment.

Some boxes we acquire have no interiors or are missing all or most of their original fittings. They are too beautiful to do nothing with, so we bring them back to life by hand-making and fitting a jewellery tray or simply lining them. Not only does this give the box a new lease of life but gives you a box that is totally unique and not on the high street! In our opinion these are fantastic value for money – if one of these boxes were to be made today it would cost a small fortune!

Our Jewellery Boxes are refurbished to a very high standard. Our in-house finisher uses top quality cotton silks, leather and hand-marbled paper. By doing this our quality finishes will stand the test of time, so that these beautiful boxes can be passed on to future generations.
