From our Tea Caddy collection, we are delighted to offer this Georgian Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy. The Tea Caddy of octagonal form decorated to the exterior with Tortoiseshell to every face separated with unusual engraved Silver stringing. The Tea Caddy with an oval shaped engraved escutcheon above a shield bearing an engraved monogram ‘MM’ surmounted by a silver shaped loop handle. When opened the Tea Caddy reveals its original Ivory facing with a floating lid with a loop handle and traces of the original foil lining. The Tea Caddy dates to the Georgian era during the reign of George III circa 1800.

The Tea Caddy comes complete with working lock and tasselled key.
