Antique coromandel jewellery box with engraved brass initial plate and escutcheon.

The interior of the box is lined with a vibrant red velvet and silk giving a striking contrast to the coromandel. The underside of the lid and two compartment lids are lined with a beautiful patterned silk.

The main jewellery tray features six compartments, two of which are fitted to accommodate rings, earrings or cufflinks.
This tray can be lifted out, using the brass handles either side, revealing a large padded space underneath.

One the back edge of the open box is a brass button, when pressed this makes the hidden drawer at the front of the box spring open. The drawer has three padded jewellery compartments perfect for keeping all manner of precious items safe.

Complete with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
