Museum quality paper scroll tea caddy with its original dust case, made from mahogany and veneered in satinwood with herringbone and diamond inlays surrounded the sides & top. A kingwood & boxwood inlay framing a oval tea plant with brass handle to its lid.
Lifting the delicate satinwood glass case reveals the fresh vibrant coloured paper scroll tea caddy with pearl & ruby mica flakes and silvered handle. The front has a portrait of boy playing an instrument, the back has a silk panel with the letters AB. The interior has its original maple lid with burr yew medallion and bone handle and still contains traces of its foil lining.
This extremely rare paperscroll tea caddy with dust case should be in a museum, its like the day it was made. It comes with a fully working lock and taselled key.
