Description

An antique jewellery box veneered in lovely figured rosewood, with fine brass stringing and mother of pearl dots decorating the front and top of the box. In the centre of the top is an ornate engraved brass, mother of pearl and abalone vacant initial plaque. The front of the box also has an elaborate brass and mother of pearl escutcheon.

The interior of this pretty antique jewellery box is lined in green velvet and silk paper and features a removable jewellery tray with seven compartments including two that have been fitted to accommodate rings, earrings or cufflinks. This jewellery tray can be lifted out with help from the ribbon loop handles on each side. This reveals a large storage space underneath.

This jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
