Antique jewellery box constructed of solid Mahogany and veneered in sumptuous Amboyna with quadrant brass edging, flush campaign-style carry handles, vacant initial plate and matching escutcheon.

The interior of this wonderful Amboyna jewellery box is lined in burgundy velvet and leather. It features a removable jewellery tray with four compartments including two for rings, earrings or cufflinks. It has two ribbon loops on either side to help lift it out. Underneath is another removable tray lined with burgundy silk which sits atop a larger padded storage space.

This jewellery boxes lid houses a free-standing mirror which is secured behind a leather letter compartment. The mirror is held securely in place by two brass tabs.

This jewellery box has a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
