Description

Antique jewellery / memory box veneered in unusual figured Rosewood with brass edging, shield-shaped initial plate and brass escutcheon. The interior is lined with green velvet and gold-tooled leather. With a removable jewellery tray that sits on top of a padded storage area.

On the back edge of the open box is a brass button, when pressed it causes the hidden drawer at the front of the box to spring open. This draw is lined in padded green silk with various sized compartments including one specially lined for holding rings, earrings of cufflinks and another for holding a pocket watch.

This antique memory/jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
