An antique box with distinctive decorative inlays with a Vandyke style pattern surrounding each side. The veneers used are as follows: Laburnam, Holly, Satinwood, Coromandel, Amboyna, Lacewood, Sycamore, Rosewood, Maple and Mahogany. With a mother of pearl initial plaque and bone escutcheon.

The interior is lined with black leather paper and purple silk velvet.
