Antique writing box veneered predominantly in Rosewood with Ebony edging inlaid with beautiful intricate mother of pearl floral designs including a vacant initial plaque with an ornate surround and mother of pearl escutcheon.

The interior of this pretty writing slope features a green replaced leather writing surface with gold tooling and its silver-plated glass inkwells. The top half of which can be lifted to reveal a large storage area underneath. Above the writing surface is eight compartments, three of which have lids with mother of pearl handles and one contains a removable pentray.

This writing box comes with a fully working lock and a tasselled key.
