With a superb dark-mottled colour and lovely patination, this wonderful Squash Tea Caddy has a wonderful original squared stalk only seen on this type of Fruit Tea Caddy.

The interior of this wonderful Antique Tea Caddy contains traces of its original tin lining. A steel hinge & lock, it is also accompanied by its original steel key which works with a fully working lock.

One of the rarest of the Fruit Tea Caddies, ‘Squash’ or ‘Pumpkin’ Tea Caddies are often confused with Melon Tea Caddies, however, the fruit caddies are clearly distinguishable; we know this because the Squash/Pumpkin features a squared stalk.
