Description
Presented here is a set of George III Mahogany elliptical Tea Caddies adorned with flame mahogany veneers and embellished with bone escutcheons bearing a striking kite-shaped motif.
Adorning the crest of the caddies lies a resplendent ebony star, from which the regal brass handles are gracefully suspended. Upon lifting the lids of the oval tea caddies, the discerning eye shall observe a single mahogany floating lid and a delicately crafted turned bone handle. The exterior facades of the caddies are masterfully fashioned from boxwood, with the interiors impeccably lined with tin, a common practice during the Georgian era to help preserve the quality and flavour of the tea leaves, ensuring the longevity of the contents within. Adding to their sense of refinement, each caddy comes equipped with a fully functioning lock and tasselled key, ensuring the contents remain secure and adding an element of exclusivity to their ownership.
