Art Deco Dated 1921

From our Accessories collection, we are pleased to offer this Tortoiseshell carriage clock. The carriage clock is of typical form made from solid Tortoiseshell with rounded corners. The carriage clock is raised upon four turned silvered feet elevating from the surface and bears a Sterling Silver carry handle hallmarked Sterling, London by H.A & C and is dated 1921. The handle also bears a 900 mark for Silver purity and a further hallmark. The circular dial of the carriage clock is finished in white enamel with black roman numerals fitted behind a circular glazed panel and silver ring. The Carriage Clock is fitted with a french 8 day movement which has been professionally serviced and overhauled. The clock dates the first half of the 20th century during the early years of the Art Deco period circa 1921.
