Antique and very rare elliptical-shaped striking figured tortoiseshell tea caddy with domed peek top with a central line strung in Ivory separating the tortoiseshell. Its embellished with more Ivory banding around base, edging and facings. The front escutcheon and initial plate replicate the oval elliptical design of the tea caddy and both are made of sterling silver and monogrammed with initials “WLB”

The interior of the elliptical antique tortoiseshell tea caddy has most of its original foil lining and comes with a fully functional lock and replaced tasselled key.
