Antique silver-topped inkwell with an incorporated pocket watch. The inkwell is heavy glass with a removable glass liner. The top is sterling silver by Birmingham silversmith John Grinsell & Son.
The lid has a twist-off cap to allow the pocket watch to be removed.

The watch has a beautifully engraved body, with a white face with gold minute dots and traditional roman numerals. Opening the rear case of the watch reveals an engraving which reads: "Remembrance of Arthur 1904". With the inside of the cover stamped with a serial code "22935" and two lions passant.

The watch when wound using the crown keeps good time. To change the time you need to press down on a button to the left-hand side of the crown, then using the crown move clockwise or anti-clockwise to set the time.
