A stunning shaped and beautiful figured antique tortoiseshell tea caddy with pagoda top, unusual treble sided with canted corners, standing on four turned bun feet. With silver stringing dividing each beautifully shaped and very impressive figured tortoiseshell panels, a silver escutcheon and vacant initial plate to the top. Lifting the tortoiseshell tea caddy's lid reveals ivory facings framing two tortoiseshell lids with turned ivory handles, and its original luxurious velvet backing on the main tea caddy lid.
