Description

The exterior of this writing box features a wonderful inlaid conch shell and oak leaf corners with a Tulipwood cross banding.

Inside, the lid has cross banded ribbon for holding letters, with card holders on either side.

The bottom is divided in four sections and to the back of the box is a brass document stand / holder we think? Any thoughts or opinions on this would be very welcome.

This box also features a drawer on the left side which can be opened once the holding pin has been removed. On the right side is an inkwell holder which pivots out once the holding pin has been removed.
Once the inkwell holder is open, there is a secret catch that can be accessed by reaching into the recess. Once pressed, one of the main compartments pops open on a hinge to reveal a secret storage area.
