Impressive victorian brass gilded inkstand with a twisted rope design, standing on six bun feet. The inkstand has two large exquisite crystal cut glass inkwells, these are flanking a central urn for holding dip pens. The Urn stands on a plinth and has the following inscription :
“To Mr D. S. Geikie with best wished of the Newington choral association May 1871”
