It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the Open Art Fair, which was scheduled for April. A rise in energy costs has led to the cancellation of fairs and exhibitions, making it difficult for organisers to cover the cost of the event. This is because they not only need to cover the cost of running the event, but also the cost of transportation and other associated costs.

Today’s displayed item is a beautifully crafted French Boulle Perfume Box that has been carefully conserved. As of now, this fine work of art has been sold.

Within this luxurious French Boulle Perfume Box are three beautifully gilded glass perfume bottles decorated with petite gold stars. The top and front of the piece are comprised of exquisitely shaped brass with contrasting red tortoiseshell; the other three sides of the piece are constructed from ebonised pearwood. As part of our meticulous preservation process, our team of experts examine, evaluate, and only restore the areas that are absolutely necessary, using intricate and detailed conservation techniques. By doing so, we ensure that the unique character of the piece is maintained and that its value is preserved.
