Mark is just back and unpacked from the first Classic Antique Fair at the NEC of the year. We would firstly like to say how impressed we were with the overall look of the fair and the atmosphere. Mark would also like to offer his gratitude to everyone who made purchases from him at the fair, he is extremely grateful and hopes to see you again in November.
We are kicking off this week’s newsletter with a selection of new stock added to our various collections including this absolutely superb Coromandel Vanity Dressing Box crafted by the Merrick company who interestingly trained the renowned cabinet maker George Betjemann. The style of the box is way before its time giving it an Art Deco finish with geometric lines but dating to the 19th century.
Our second pick of the week is this charming George III miniature salesman demo mahogany tea caddy. We have taken a photo next to a standard sized rectangular business card for the petit proportions of the caddy.
