Painted Papier Mache Tea Caddy

Large papier mache Tea Caddy with sloping top, professionally painted all round. The top of papier mache tea caddy features a beautiful rural themed scene, and the front, a hunting scene. To the centre of the tea caddy is a turned engraved mother of pearl escutcheon. The sides and back feature further painted scenes of similar themes. The interior contains three solid coromandel lids (each with a delicate mother of pearl flower handle) and all of its original foil lining. Lock is stamped VR with a crown and the words 'Mechi PATENT'.
