Rare Anglo Indian Tortoiseshell & Ivory writing slopewith ornate Silver carry handles and latch locking mechanism.

The top front half of the box lifts to reveal storage space and a ivory edged drawer. The rear half of the box opens separately to reveal compartments to hold ink wells and pens. The front base of the box has another drawer to hold more stationery.

This fabulous Anglo Indian Writing Slope has a key for the upper inkwell compartment but does not have a key for the bottom compartment.
