Description

Mahogany brass-cornered dovetailed Artist’s box with flush campaign handle to the front drawer. The underside of the lid has an embossed burgundy leather insert to the interior of the lid, stamped “James Newman, 24 Soho Square, London”. The fitted tray contains watercolour blocks, a glass water jar, brushes, rolled paper pencils, a metal charcoal stick container. Beneath the tray is four porcelain with two-tiered palettes, marked “James Newman”. Removal of the brass pin at the front of the box allows you to open a drawer with a ceramic palette and paper rolled pencils.

The James Newman artist box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
