There is something particularly stunning about this elegant bow-fronted Tea Caddy, which is beautifully veneered with finely figured tortoiseshell throughout, including the top, which is wonderfully shaped like a pagoda.

This charming Tea Caddy sits elegantly on four large turned Tagua-nut feet, and each Tortoiseshell panel is separated by fine silver stringing; the top of the caddy features a vacant silver initial plate with the front having a small silver oval escutcheon.

Upon lifting the lid of this regency Tortoiseshell Tea caddy, Ivory facings are visible, along with two Tortoiseshell lids with turned-Bone handles. Each compartment has retained most of its original lining.

This tea caddy has a fully operational lock, so it can freely be locked and unlocked with the tasselled key it comes with.
