Parkins & Gotto Antique burr walnut jewellery box with brass edging, vacant shield-shaped initial plate and escutcheon.

The interior of this antique burr walnut jewellery box by Parkins & Gotto is lined with black silk and padded teal velvet, with a removable brass, a handled tray which has eight padded jewellery compartments including two that are specially fitted for storing rings, earrings or cufflinks. Underneath this tray is a single large padded storage space.

On the back edge of the open box is a brass button, which when pressed causes the hidden drawer at the front of the box to spring open. This drawer contains two large storage spaces which are perfect for keeping those precious items hidden and secure. One the front edge of the drawer is a retailers plaque which reads: “Parkins & Gotto 24 & 25 Oxford St. London”

This antique burr walnut jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
