Antique jewellery box constructed of solid Mahogany and veneered in beautiful figured Burr Walnut with robust quadrant brass edging, and vacant ornate initial plate on the top and a round brass barrel escutcheon.

Opening the antique jewellery box lid reveals the dark purple velvet-lined interior. The underside of the lid houses a reversible velvet back mirror with a gold-tooled leather frame. Removing this mirror allows access to the secret leather letter compartment.

The main storage area of the jewellery box features a removable tray which is fitted with seven compartments, two of which are specially lined for holding rings, earrings or cufflinks. Above this on the back edge of the box is a brass button. When pressed the hidden drawer at the front of the box springs forwards, revealing three large padded storage compartments.

This jewellery box comes with a fully working signed Bramah lock and tasselled key.
