Chinese Export Tea Chest – A Rare 18th Century Masterpiece of Chinoiserie Craftsmanship
At Mark Goodger Antiques, we are delighted to offer an exceptional example of an 18th century Chinese Export Tea Chest—a true collector’s piece that embodies the elegance and artistry of the Georgian tea-drinking tradition.
Crafted in Canton, China for the Western market, this rare tea chest is a testament to the global luxury trade of the 1700s, when tea was both a coveted commodity and a symbol of refined taste. Lavishly decorated in hand-painted Chinoiserie and housed in a superb lacquered case, this piece would have once taken pride of place in an affluent English drawing room.
With every purchase from Mark Goodger Antiques, you will receive our latest catalogue, a Certificate of Authenticity, detailed care instructions for your chosen piece and an independent invoice (for insurance purposes) will be enclosed. As well as being protected by a no-hassle, money-back policy, your piece will be entirely insured during the shipping process to ensure the safety of your item.
