Description

Antique Christofle cased campaign travel set. Housed in a shagreen canvas style case with brass carry handle and clasps.

Opening the case reveals a wonderful preserved travel set each monogramed with a Crown above two letters A & B. The top layer has three silver-plate canisters snugly housed in the soft lined interior. Removing these reveals a removable tray which houses a plate, spoon and two handles which can be slid onto the backs of two of the previously removed containers transforming one into a tea pot and the other into a lidded pot. Stored inside the teapot is a small canister that contains a fuel pot for lighting a fire. Inside the lidded pot is a tea cup which contains an egg cup and warmer. In the bottom of the case is a large silver plate tray.

Each piece is engraved with the monogram “A B” and the silver plate tray is marked “63506 168 Christofle”
