Rare Coromandel Sewing boxwith a fascinating mechanical feature that we haven’t seen before. This comes to life when the lid is lifted, the mechanism pushes out the front jewellery drawer and at the same time two columns at the front pivot round to reveal two cut glass scent bottle compartments.
The top has a cream silk ruched pad with mirror surrounds, behind this is a compartment for letters and sewing materials.

A blue silk lined removable tray is fully fitted with mother of pearl cotton reels, winders and other antique sewing accessories.
