The interior of this impecable antique sewing box is lined in a blue silk paper and features a removable tray with engraved handles, fitted with seven mother of pearl thread spools, six mother of pearl thread winders, two engraved silver thimbles, a tool pad with mother of pearl handled prickers and a pair of scissors, two pin cushions and two needle books. This tray can be removed to reveal a large storage space underneath.

This sewing box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
